These jeans are super comfortable. I think they may be the loosest size 8 pants I’ve ever worn! Of course, that means that the rear is a bit baggier than I usually prefer, since that can add the illusion of extra pounds that most of us (myself included) certainly don’t need. The good news is that they have braided leather trim on the pockets, which makes for a nice accent when people look at my baggy butt. Because they are much roomier than my other jeans, I’ve discovered that it’s best to wear them with a belt. I don’t have to worry about showing too much ankle in these jeans, either. They’re long enough that they reach the bottom of my sneakers, and I doubt even throwing them in the dryer will shorten them too much. If you’re tall or have long legs, these jeans are great! If you’re petite, you’ll need to have them hemmed, unless you’re slim and can get away with a smaller size.

Buy these jeans: BandolinoBlu Women’s Gwen Novelty Trim Flare Jean

These jeans have a two-button fly and flare at the ankles. They feature brown braided leather trim on both front and back pockets. 99% Cotton, 1% Spandex. Machine wash.

Did you know? Every 10 minutes, a woman or child is trafficked into the United States for forced labor.

I had the opportunity to review some unique apparel from The Emancipation Network (T.E.N.) – an organization that promotes awareness of modern day human trafficking. I tried on two items of clothing, a blue tunic that was hand made by a woman named Svica and a blue skirt that was hand made by a woman named Leak. Both women are survivors of sexual slavery who were rescued and taught a skill that will provide a livelihood that will sustain them.

The silk/cotton tunic has long sleeves and falls at the hip. It fits very loosely, and I was quite comfortable outside in 57 degree weather without a jacket on. I really like the embroidery detail around the neckline and on the sleeves. I can personally attest that the tunic was hand-made, as I could see some of the markings used to make it. (No problem! Just needs to be laundered before wearing in public!)

I’m not really a skirt lover, but I wanted to complement the tunic with another hand-made piece. The A-line skirt is 70% silk and 30% cotton. Machine washable, but air dry. I really liked the length of the skirt, as it covers me properly when I sit. The 4-inch waistband is quite flattering, as it takes care of minor stomach pudge. It is a wrap skirt, and I had a slight issue with the wind when I was standing outside for pictures, but it had a strong three-button closure, so at least I didn’t have to worry about it falling off!

The tunic is currently available for $15, the skirt for $20. In addition to what I tried on, they have t-shirts, tank tops, scarves, handbags, wallets, jewelry, stationery, and items for kids! Support awareness of human trafficking and help survivors of the sexual slavery trade by shopping at the Made by Survivors store by T.E.N. Consider shopping there for Mother’s Day, weddings, and graduations this spring. You’ll feel good about yourself, and your gift recipient will, too!

Contact us with your store URL and let me know what you would like me to review. I will reply with my mailing address where you can send the review items, as well as size, color, and other specifications. If you don’t have an affiliate program, I get to keep the item(s) I review in exchange for being featured. If you do have an affiliate program that I can join, you have the option of sending me self-addressed stamped packaging to return the clothing I review. (I do not prefer this method, but I understand when it may be necessary, especially for more expensive items.) Lingerie and swimsuits cannot be returned for sanitary reasons.

I am happy to review shirts, blouses, sweaters, sweatshirts, tank tops, camisoles, jeans, pants, shorts, sleepwear, outerwear, Halloween costumes, lingerie, undergarments, swimsuits, socks, shoes, belts, jewelry, hats, scarves, and other accessories. (Did I miss anything? If I did, it was unintentional!)

You have to do laundry a lot for your kids, for your husband, and for yourself. If your kids are anything like my son, they get their clothes dirty a lot – and you don’t want them to stain! If you’re anything like my mother, then you probably spill a lot. I love my mom dearly, but she can barely eat a meal without spilling something on her shirt.

Now is your chance to win some of the best stain remover available – PreSpot 4x Laundry Stain Remover!

I’ve used PreSpot from Melaleuca for longer than my son has been alive. This is the new improved formula, and I can’t wait to try it out! We go through an awful lot of pre-treater. Here are some of the stains you can get out with PreSpot:

cooking oil

blood, milk

grass

make up,

ring-around-the-collar,

ink

dirt

tomato sauce

coffee

and other protein, starch and soil stains

PreSpot is an enzymatic formula that isn’t harsh on your clothes. I use it on both my whites and my colors. I used it the most when I was cleaning spit-up off of TJ’s baby clothes, but it has also come in handy during potty training (even poop stains), learning to drink from a cup (even grape juice), and playing outside in the dirt. I’ve even used it on my undergarments when the beginning of that time of the month sneaks up on me.

How can you win a free bottle of PreSpot 4x Laundry Stain Remover? Leave me comments as directed below!

I apologize if these photos frighten you. I will admit that they are not the most flattering pictures I’ve ever posed for. Unless you are very slim and not as curvy as I am, I would not recommend wearing this camisole on its own, at least not in public. (What you do in the privacy of your bedroom is another matter.) As you can see, some unpleasant amounts of flesh hung out over the top of the cami. Having said that, I don’t think I would ever wear this camisole alone, unless it was to bed. I wouldn’t mind wearing it underneath a sweater or a low-cut shirt when I don’t want to expose too much of my chest. It did suck in my belly a bit, and I had to tuck it in because it came down below my butt. (It looked terrible over my jeans.) So my advice: nice for an undergarment, not so great on its own. And I know I totally need to wear a bra underneath it – I shouldn’t ever go without a bra – but the straps would’ve been hanging out all over the place in the pics!

Do you love shopping, or do you dread it? Even if you love shopping, I bet there’s at least one type of women’s clothing you hate to shop for because it’s difficult to find something that fits properly. For me, it’s pants and bras. Too many pairs of cute pants are low-rise and completely inappropriate for me, as they show off my stretch marks and that extra skin that didn’t go away after TJ was born. As for bras, it seems that my size changes every time I go to try one on! Thankfully, I don’t have to shop for the size I needed when I bought my first nursing bra after my milk came in – 44H! Last time I was a 34C, but I’m beginning to think I may have gone back up a cup size. Bra shopping is not fun for me.

So you tell me – what do you have a hard time shopping for? Feel free to add your own answer if I didn’t think to list it.

But they were really cheap, so it makes sense. (In other words, if you like them, you should buy now! I’m not sure when they’ll get sold out.) And I was struck with a severe case of modesty when I tried them on. My, but those shorts are short! Okay, so I’d never wear short shorts in public, but only my husband will really see me in them. (Fine. And you can see them here in pictures, but it’s a completely controlled environment, and you won’t see them when they ride up past the point of decency!) The pajamas are really quite soft and comfortable. The tank top covers my tummy. The shorts are quite high up on the thighs – not my favorite part of my body – but they’re not booty shorts at least. There’s a cute polka dot print on the tank top and little colorful Christmas trees on the shorts. If the Christmas trees are a little out of season for you, they’re cheap enough that you can just buy them for the tank top and wear them with other pajama bottoms you own! See below for other colors and patterns they have available.

Buy them: Xhilaration® 2-pc.
100% cotton.

Machine wash. Tumble dry.

If you’re like me, you do a lot of laundry. Enough of my clothes are delicate enough to warrant doing a load on the gentle cycle every week. Even then, my bras don’t always fare very well. I know – many bras say to wash them by hand. But seriously, who has time? Or inclination? I don’t.

I have several different lingerie bags. Some of them have a Woolite tag on them. My largest one has been permanently dyed black when I washed one of my black shirts in it. I have four or five cheap little bags I picked up at the Dollar Spot at Target. While two of them are round, specifically made for bras, none of them are sturdy enough to protect my underwire bras from becoming misshapen.

Does anyone know where I can get a bra bag that will help my bras keep their shape in the wash? Drop me a comment and let me know if you can help me out. There’s a new blog post riding on this, and I’m willing to give you a blog link if you are the one who leads me to the perfect bra bag!
