Seamless Jade Camisole

by Christina

Seamless Jade CamisoleI apologize if these photos frighten you. I will admit that they are not the most flattering pictures I’ve ever posed for. Unless you are very slim and not as curvy as I am, I would not recommend wearing this camisole on its own, at least not in public. (What you do in the privacy of your bedroom is another matter.) As you can see, some unpleasant amounts of flesh hung out over the top of the cami. Having said that, I don’t think I would ever wear this camisole alone, unless it was to bed. I wouldn’t mind wearing it underneath a sweater or a low-cut shirt when I don’t want to expose too much of my chest. It did suck in my belly a bit, and I had to tuck it in because it came down below my butt. (It looked terrible over my jeans.) So my advice: nice for an undergarment, not so great on its own. And I know I totally need to wear a bra underneath it – I shouldn’t ever go without a bra – but the straps would’ve been hanging out all over the place in the pics! See similar camisoles in other colors below.

If you’re like me, you do a lot of laundry. Enough of my clothes are delicate enough to warrant doing a load on the gentle cycle every week. Even then, my bras don’t always fare very well. I know – many bras say to wash them by hand. But seriously, who has time? Or inclination? I don’t.

I have several different lingerie bags. Some of them have a Woolite tag on them. My largest one has been permanently dyed black when I washed one of my black shirts in it. I have four or five cheap little bags I picked up at the Dollar Spot at Target. While two of them are round, specifically made for bras, none of them are sturdy enough to protect my underwire bras from becoming misshapen.

Does anyone know where I can get a bra bag that will help my bras keep their shape in the wash? Drop me a comment and let me know if you can help me out. There’s a new blog post riding on this, and I’m willing to give you a blog link if you are the one who leads me to the perfect bra bag!
